Twenty-one Taras are coming to the TGBC altar. Each one still waiting for a sponsor is a chance to put your family under Tara's protection, with your names inside the statue for good.

Tara is the mother who comes quickly. Tibetans call on her when there is danger on the road, illness in the house, fear in the mind, or a wish that will not come true. Her 21 forms, from peaceful white and green to fierce red and black, each answer a different kind of trouble. TGBC is placing a full set of 21 hand-crafted, gold-plated Tara statues on the altar at 3C Campbell Lane, to be consecrated by H.E. Bise Rinpoche and the Sangha.

One gold-plated Tara
Hand-crafted, with a 24-karat gold-painted face, placed on the altar as one of the 21.
Up to 10 names inside
Your names are sealed inside the statue at consecration. A share gives one name.
Consecration puja
Rinpoche and the Sangha fill and bless the statues in a full consecration ceremony.
A certificate on request
A sponsorship certificate with the Tara's name and your dedication.
Why a statue. Offering a Buddha image is one of the oldest ways to create merit, because every person who bows, offers a flower or recites a prayer before it afterwards adds to the merit of the one who sponsored it. With a Tara, that happens every Saturday for as long as the centre stands.
