Namgyalma Stupa Malaysia

The Namgyalma Stupa in Malaysia is a major Dharma project supported by Tashi Gephelling Buddhist Centre. A stupa is a sacred monument that embodies the enlightened mind of the Buddha — in the Tibetan tradition, building and sponsoring one is regarded as a powerful source of merit, purification, and long life for the whole region and for everyone who contributes.

Named after Namgyalma (Ushnishavijaya), the deity of long life and purification, this stupa has been years in the making. The photographs below trace its journey — from two years of careful planning, through the digging and piling of the foundation, to the construction under way today. Every offering helps bring this merit field closer to completion, and is dedicated to the health, longevity, and well-being of all beings.
