After years of building, the Namgyalma Stupa opens. H.E. the 5th Bise Rinpoche and the Sangha travel from Singapore to lead three days of pujas, and you are invited to take part, in person or from home.

Come with us

Join the group from Singapore for five days with Rinpoche and the monks. You book your flight to Penang; we arrange bus, hotel, meals and the Penang tour.

Coming with us: how the trip works

For those travelling from Singapore. Simple on purpose.

  1. Book your own flight to Penang for Thursday 4 March, landing by 2:00 PM. We will share one recommended flight so the group can travel together.
  2. We meet you at Penang airport arrivals. A group leader will be there. From that moment, bus, hotel and meals are arranged.
  3. Rest one night in Penang, then travel by bus to Kuala Kurau (about 1 hour) for the pujas and the Opening Ceremony.
  4. Penang tour with the monks on Sunday 7 March, then fly home from Penang on Monday 8 March.

Booking terms. Payment in full at booking. No refund on cancellation, because rooms, bus and meals are booked in advance. Bookings close on 15 February 2027.

Questions

Do I need to be Buddhist to join?

No. Everyone is welcome, at the stupa and on the trip.

Can I come only for the Opening Ceremony on 6 March?

Yes. The ceremony is open to all. If you make your own way to Kuala Kurau, just come. The package is for those who want everything arranged.

How much is the trip?

The price will be confirmed after our site visit to Kuala Kurau. Register your interest on WhatsApp and you will be the first to know.

I cannot travel. How can I take part?

Make an offering at the opening, or sponsor the Sangha's journey. Your names are dedicated by Rinpoche at the stupa either way.

What is the Namgyalma Stupa?
