Tashi Gephel Ling is a place for people to strive for happiness by increasing their virtues through Dharma practice.

“Tashi” means auspiciousness,

“Gephel” means increasing virtues &

“Ling” literally means park.

TGBC is place to connote for practice. 

Our Philosophy

We all want happiness and do not want suffering. In order to achieve the happiness that we want, we need to know the correct ways to cultivate our virtues such that we will have happiness and auspiciousness. Tashi Gephel Ling hopes to guide her followers in their Dharma practice, to increase their virtues so that they will enjoy happiness and auspiciousness.

Founder

Bise Rinpoche is the founder of the Tashi Gephelling Buddhist Center, He was born in 1976 and was recognized by His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of 5th Bise Rinpoche in 1986.

  • Bise Rinpoche was Chief and highly respected in East Tibet Amdo Ja Khyung Monastery (means eagle mountain, as the Monastery is shaped like an eagle). It is also the monastery where the first Lama Tsong Khapa became Novice Monk.

  • That year, Rinpoche entered Sera Jey Monastery and took up Getsu (Novice Monk). He took his vows from His Holiness Dalai Lama and was given his Tenzin Gephel. Rinpoche was fully ordained in 1997.

  • Rinpoche studied Buddhist Philosophy from 1986 and graduated in year 2007 with Geshe Degree, equivalent to PhD in Buddhist Philosophy. In Year 2008, Rinpoche completed Tantric College in Gyudmey Monastery South India. Rinpoche had conducted many times rhe Hayagriva Retreat in Sera Jey Monastery.

  • In the year 2011 to 2014, he was appointed Chief Abbot for Sera Jey Branch Monastery, Jamyang Choekorling Monastery in Tawang, North India for 3 years. Rinpoche conducted Hayagriva Initiation and Empowerment to request from public a few times during his term.
  • Upon completing his 3 year term, he was requested to host the Annual Sera Jey Guru Rinpoche Thousand Offerings event in the United States in 2014.

  • Currently, Rinpoche is travelling in Asia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
